Career
• Elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Iowa’s 3rd District (2023), Iowa Senate from the 15th District (2019-2023), and Iowa House of Representatives from the 30th District (2015-2019)
• Member of United States Air Force and later the Iowa National Guard (2004); held the rank of lieutenant colonel and commander of an intelligence group (2021) before being promoted to the rank of colonel
• Supports the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, requiring ID to vote at the polls, increasing defense spending, and increasing security along the southern US border; does not generally support gun-control legislation
