Career
• Elected member of the California State Assembly from the 67th District (1995-200), Minority Leader of the California Assembly (1999-2000) and chair of the Republican Party in Orange County (early 2000s-2015)
• Served as an attorney in private practice in Huntington Beach; founding board member of the George T. Pfleger Foundation and founding chairman of the OC Marathon Foundation
• Supports combating and reducing crimes, cutting government spending and inflation, promoting education and student success, and securing the border; does not support a large government size
