• Elected to represent the 37th District in the California State Senate (2020-2023); previously an assistant law professor at the University of California, Irvine teaching banking law, capital markets, and real estate finance
• Worked as a staff attorney in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, counsel to a Senator in the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, and counsel and senior policy advisor to the Joint Economics Committee
• Supports reproductive freedom, ending gun violence, ending offshore oil drilling and reliance on fossil fuels, and increasing funding for the development of renewable energy; does not support overturning of Roe v. Wade
