• Started at Baylor University; transferred to Pepperdine University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Liberal Arts
• Studied Asian Studies at Harvard College for a year as a visiting undergraduate student
• Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Management

Career
• Served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy (1991-1996); elected as the representative for New York’s 22nd Congressional District (2023)
• Co-founded the startup funding company IgniteIP and later founded and led the industrial process software company CPlane; also worked as a business executive and investment banker
• Does not support government mandates, lockdowns, compulsory and universal vaccinations, removing parents from schools, ignoring the sovereignty of our borders, and anti-semitism

Personal Information
• Met his wife Stephanie at a Bible study group in Florida while he was in the navy
• He and his wife purchased a 67 acres farm in Sennett, New York in 2008, focusing on bees, lavender, and truffles
• Has lived in Florida, Texas, New York City, Seattle, and Silicon Valley
